About the provider

Hi there! My name is Megan.

I am licensed as a family home childcare provider to help serve an overwhelming need in our community while raising my children.

While there are set requirements for serving in this role (WAC 110-300-0100), what qualifies me most is the motive of my heart. My heart is for my children. I crave watching them grow and experience the world around them. I want to teach my children particular ethics and skills taught to me by generations of strong, humble, and prayerful women. In doing so, I want to make my home and heart available to others in my community who want these things for their children.

My background is rooted in a diverse range of experiences. I hold a degree in organizational dynamics and am a certified project manager. I am a licensed and bonded notary public and signing agent, and have over 19 years’ experience in coordinating and supporting the operational and accounting functions of state and local government agencies. All that to say, I am also a former licensed family childcare provider from Olympia, WA. The children I once cared for are all adults now—some with children of their own.

My family includes my husband, Nathan, and our two curious, beautiful daughters, Hannah (5 years) and Zoe (2 years), and our sweet and gentle dog “Grizzly” (a two-year-old AKC registered English Cream Golden Retriever).

I consider myself a patient and grace-minded person. I love listening to music, gardening, cooking, hiking near waterfalls, and spending weekends at the beach. My life motto is “grace upon grace.” I provide a safe place for exploration, discovery, and growth. I love big, forgive quickly, and strive daily to cultivate a home of joy and calm. I loathe laundry!
